The new map of Zecs is available in three languages (22/09/2003)

As part of the World Forestry Congress which is being held at the Québec City Convention Centre from September 21 to 25, 2003, the Fédération québécoise des gestionnaires de zecs (FQGZ) is officially unveiling the 2003 map of Zecs printed in the 3 languages identified by congress organizers, namely French, English and Spanish, for a total of 50,000 copies.

Traffic in black bear gall bladers (20/11/2002)

Following a major investigation, some 200 Québec wildlife protection officers moved today to dismantle a network of poachers involved in trafficking black bear gall bladders and big game meat. The gall bladders were destined primarily for buyers in various Canadian provinces, in the United States, and in Asian countries like South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand.
